“We could have won Barca more UCL titles in our era”- Suarez

Inter Miami forward Luis Suarez has opened up on his UEFA Champions League career at FC Barcelona, stating that his team ‘could have won more titles in their era.’
Suarez led the line of the iconic Barca attack, including Lionel Messi and Neymar Jr, with the trio netting over 100 goals that season.
Barca were eventually crowned champions of Europe in Suarez’s first campaign at the club, ultimately winning the treble in enthralling fashion.

Nonetheless, the next years saw a truly difficult run in the UEFA Champions League as Barca failed to reach another final for many years.
Speaking in an interview with a Uruguayan media outlet, Suarez opened up on how it all unfolded at Barca, touching on the highs and lows of his impressive career as a Blaugrana.

“I always dreamed of playing for Barca. When I signed for Barcelona, it was a dream come true. Barca was a success, yet we could have won another Champions League in that era we had”, he said
Suarez also left his thoughts on the current Barcelona side, who, under Hansi Flick, have been absolutely flying across all competitions.
“I love Hansi Flick’s Barcelona. It has efficiency and a high level. There are two players who make the difference: Pedri and Lamine Yamal. You also have players like Robert Lewandowski and Raphinha, but the level of Pedri and Yamal is something else”, Suarez added.
FC Barcelona take on Atletico Madrid at the Metropolitano on Wednesday night in the second-leg of their Copa del Rey semi-final, aiming to be another step away from silverware.
