“We need focus to stay in the UCL “- Flick ahead of Dortmund clash

Hansi Flick has revealed FC Barcelona will need to be at their very best, focused on the task ahead when they face Borussia Dortmund on Wednesday in the UEFA Champions League quarter-final.

This season, Flick’s side have been high flying, and beat Dortmund back in December in the group phase of the competition.

However, the German tactician believes this tie will be a completely different one altogether, insisting that Dortmund are on a better run than they were last year.

Speaking to the press ahead of the game, Flick revealed what Barca need to do to get the job done to advance to the next round of Europe’s premium club competition.

““We’re clear about how we want to play and we’ve made some commitments. We want to stay in the Champions League; we have to focus on the things that matter”, he said.

“ Dortmund’s confidence has changed a bit. Their passing is sharper. The results they’ve had in the Champions League and the Bundesliga have given them confidence. They have more concrete goals. They’re a team with great pace, they think very attack-wise, and we’ll have to be up to the task”, Flick added.

Barca look the favorites to get a favorable result from this one, yet the game could go either way and Dortmund will be aiming to make sure there is much to play for in the return leg in Spain.
