Carlo Ancelotti has revealed Real Madrid aim to recover Ferland Mendy and Dani Ceballos next week for their UEFA Champions League quarter-final first-leg clash against Arsenal.
Ceballos was sidelined for two months back in February after sustaining an injury in Madrid’s play-off game against Manchester City.
Mendy, on the other hand, has had fitness concerns in La Liga for the last three weeks but could return in time for that crunch European clash against Arsenal.

Speaking to the press ahead of Real’s weekend fixture against Leganes at the Santiago Bernabeu, Ancelotti expressed optimism for the return of Mendy and Ceballos, stating there is a plan in place to get them back onto the pitch as soon as possible.
“We’re in the process to recover both Ferland Mendy and Dani Ceballos for the first leg against Arsenal. We want them back and we’re trying to get both of them back”, he said.
Real host Leganes on Saturday night in La Liga, aiming to match leaders Barcelona, who will be facing Girona at the Olympic Stadium a day after.
