Nuno Espirito Santo takes over from Graham Potter at West Ham United
West Ham appoint Nuno Espirito Santo as new head coach

West Ham United have appointed Nuno Espirito Santo as the new manager after the sacking of Graham Potter a few hours ago on Saturday, according to reports.
Nuno Espirito Santo returns to the Premier League just 18 days after Nottingham Forest sacked him, and is in line to take charge of an already struggling side in West Ham on his first trip to Everton on Monday.
Nuno led Nottingham Forest to European qualification via a seventh-place Premier League finish and the FA Cup semi-finals last season, but was sacked earlier this month after a public fall-out with owner Evangelos Marinakis.

The Hammers managed to secure only three wins in their last 15 Premier League matches under Potter during a dismal run stretching back to last season, with the 2-1 home defeat to Crystal Palace last weekend marking his final game in charge.
West Ham will face Everton and former manager David Moyes on Monday night, marking EspĂrito Santo’s first game in charge since his dismissal from Forest early in September.

Speaking after signing for the Hammers: “I am very pleased to be here and very proud to be representing West Ham United,” Nuno said.
“My objective is to work hard to get the very best from the team and ensure that we are as competitive as we possibly can be.
“The work has already started and I am looking forward to the challenge that is ahead.”
