Henry lauds Semenyo’s performance against Fulham on Monday night
“You were cooking fufu and jollof rice”- Henry hails Semenyo after his Fulham winner

Premier League Hall of Famer Thierry Henry has heaped loads of praise on Ghanaian striker Antoine Semenyo after his brilliant winner for Bournemouth against Fulham on Monday night.
Semenyo once again showed the world his quality and helped his team grab all three points in a narrow 1-0 victory. That win was a crucial one was Bournemourth, who were without a victory in five straight league matches.
Only after a minute on the night, Semenyo grabbed the opener with a low shot into the bottom corner, and that strike proved to be the difference in what was a cagy affair between two good sides in England.
The goal was also the eighth of the season for Semenyo, matching his previous scoring tally for the previous campaign, and it was one that left the legendary Thierry Henry delighted with the Ghanaian’s performance.
“So you were cooking?.. You were cooking some fufu and jollof rice”, Henry said to Semenyo after the game, via SkySports.
Even before he netted the winner on Monday night, reports did indicate that the Ghanaian striker would be on at the end of a big move this summer, and it appears his value is only increasing by every matchday, leaving the likes of Liverpool and Arsenal with close tabs on his progress ahead of the end of this term.
