"Barca attack well but we will make things difficult for them"- Simeone

Diego Simeone has revealed his plan for Atletico Madrid’s Copa del Rey semi-final second-leg clash against FC Barcelona on Wednesday night at the Wanda Metropolitano.

The first-leg ended in dramatic fashion as both teams shared the spoils in a 4-4 draw at the Olympic Stadium in Barcelona.

Only a week prior to the March international break, Barca put four past Atletico in another dramatic comeback after Simeone’s men had gone two goals up on the night.

Simeone has been candid about the plan of Atletico to edge Barca and book a place in the final of the competition, stating that although the Blaugrana attack well, his side will do everything within their power to make it difficult for the Catalans at the Metropolitano.

“FC Barcelona has great courage in attacking. We will have to try to isolate them from their potential, and the plan could really work, lets see”, he said in his pre-match presser.

Although Atletico will be holding the home advantage on the day, Barca look the favorites to make the final after running unbeaten in 20 games this year.
