Nico Williams is a strong target for Arsenal in the summer.
Arsenal has initial talks with Bilbao star Nico Williams

Nico Williams of Athletic Bilbao is a target for Arsenal in the summer transfer window. One of Andrea Berta’s first actions as the club’s sporting director was to speak with the agents of the Spain striker according to sports journalist Ed Aarons.
It is believed that Berta, who was present at Tuesday’s 2-1 victory over Fulham and was verified in his role last Sunday, has met with Félix Tainta, the 22-year-old’s agent.
Nico Williams has been the subject of intense scouting by Arsenal for the past two years, and it is thought that they contemplated a bid for him last summer before learning that he preferred to stay at Athletic for another season.

Williams is anticipated to pursue a move this summer after leading Spain at Euro 2024 and guiding his boyhood team to the Europa League quarterfinals, where they will play Rangers the following week.
With his release clause estimated at €58 million (£48.4 million), Williams’ rivals include reportedly Bayern Munich, Chelsea, and Barcelona, who also attempted to buy him last summer.
He might decide to relocate to north London due to Arsenal’s sustained interest and Berta’s status as former Atletico Madrid sporting director.

Sporting’s Viktor Gyökeres is a more feasible target for Arsenal than his Sweden teammate Alexander Isak, who is also looking for a striker. Benjamin Sesko of RB Leipzig has also been the subject of extensive scouting.
Thomas Partey and Jorginho are due to leave when their contracts expire, and Real Sociedad midfielder MartÃn Zubimendi is expected to complete a £50.2 million move.
