Ryan Gravenberch “would love to play” for Real Madrid – Agent

Gravenberch has thrived in the No.6 role for Liverpool this season

Ryan Gravenberch’s agent has disclosed that the Liverpool midfielder “would love to play” for Real Madrid, though he also explained why such a move is currently “impossible.”

After being redefined as a deep-lying playmaker, Gravenberch has thrived in the No.6 role, where he has excelled at dictating play and anchoring Liverpool’s midfield with both composure and physicality.

Initially considered a backup option following Liverpool’s failure to land top target Martin Zubimendi, Gravenberch has proven to be more than just an alternative.

His consistent performances have arguably made him one of the standout performers in the Premier League this season.

Despite ongoing speculation about his future, Gravenberch remains fully focused on Liverpool’s current campaign

In a recent interview with Marca, Gravenberch’s agent, Jose Rodriguez, shed light on the player’s ambitions, which have been clear since his childhood.

Rodriguez revealed that top European clubs have been monitoring Gravenberch since his teenage years, with both Barcelona and Real Madrid among those interested in securing his services.

“When Ryan was 16, Barça called us. They wanted to sign him, but his father and I prioritized his development,” Rodriguez said. “At Ajax, he was able to develop in a way that he possibly wouldn’t have at Barça.”

“He’s good enough for Real Madrid,” Rodriguez added.

“We would love for him to play for them, but Liverpool would ask for a lot of money. I know they’ve had their eye on him, but now it’s impossible.”
