Chelsea midfield dynamo Moises Caceido targeted by Al-Nassr

Caicedo has been linked with a summer move to Cristiano Ronaldo’s Saudi Pro League side Al-Nassr

Chelsea midfield dynamo Moises Caicedo is reportedly targeted by Saudi Pro League giants Al-Nassr, according to reports.

The 23-year-old is currently enjoying his second full season at Stamford Bridge, having joined from Brighton in a huge £115million transfer almost two years ago.

Moises Caicedo is seen as a huge talent by Cristiano Ronaldo’s Saudi side, who are willing to pay £100m for the midfielder’s services to move to the Middle East next summer.

Al-Nassr plot a shock £100m swoop for Caicedo with Chelsea star identified as ‘dream’ transfer target for the summer.

According to The Telegraph, Al-Nassr have drawn up a list of summer targets and are keen to strengthen their midfield by landing Caicedo.

The Ecuadorian joined Chelsea from Brighton in 2023 on an eight-year contract after the Blues broke the British transfer record by dishing out £115m for the young star.

Currently, the Blues have no intention of letting Caicedo leave. Earlier this month, Enzo Maresca praised the “fantastic” midfielder during a press conference.

He said: “In this moment I think he is one of the best or the best defensive midfielders in the world. He is doing fantastic.

“The best thing about Moi is that everyday he is working serious, he is very humble, very kind, he is polite, he is a fantastic guy.”

The Saudi League, and particularly Al-Nassr, are known for their big-money move on high-profile players from Europe.

The Saudi side have already acquired the services of Cristiano Ronaldo, Sadio Mane, and Aymeric Laporte, and the latest acquisition is former Aston Villa star Jhon Duran, who was signed in the winter transfer window in a £59m deal.

Despite all the big-money buys, the club is still languishing in third place in the league standings, eight points behind table-toppers Al-Ittihad.

According to reporter Ben Jacobs, the Blues are said to value the midfielder “significantly higher” than the £115m they paid to bring him to Stamford Bridge.

However, Al-Nassr could still be set for a “big summer,” even as they prepare to renew Ronaldo’s contract and are also hoping to sign another wide attacker.

Caicedo will look to finish the season on a high with Chelsea, having been the only player from the side to start in every single Premier League game for the Blues this season.
