Harry Kane is beaming with all smiles as he finally lifts his first major trophy
Harry Kane finally wins first major trophy in his career

Harry Kane will be a happy man today, as he gets to win his first major trophy in his career on Sunday after Bayer Leverkusen failed to win on the road to prolong Bayern’s title-winning parade.
Historical moments for the England captain after enduring decades of disappointment, to win a major trophy in what can be termed an almost successful career.
For some, it was a curse on Kane. And for others, it’s a case of a misfortune to play for serial losers at both club and international level, and join Bayern at a time of tremendous turmoil at the Allianz Arena.
The English international joined Bayern Munich in June 2023, apparently to experience a different league and play in a different environment, and at a top-level team that can potentially help him win trophies.

Kane failed to win a major trophy at Tottenham Hotspur after over a decade-long career playing for the London side.
For all the false starts and near misses with Tottenham, Kane’s astonishing record of 213 goals in 320 league games for the club saw him depart English football as the Premier League‘s second-highest all-time goal scorer, behind Alan Shearer.
How it started at Bayern Munich
While the striker enjoyed a highly productive year on an individual level, scoring 44 goals in 45 appearances for Bayern in his debut campaign, he still managed to join the Bavarian giants in time for their first trophyless season since 2011-12, thus extending his barren streak into a 15th year.
The Bavarian forward was met with another shock in his career, failing to collect any silverware during his debut campaign in Germany.
How it’s going for Kane
However, the disappointments and long wait have finally come to an end. Less than 24 hours ago, the Bayern forward was staring at the sight of humiliation when RB Leipzig’s Yussuf Poulsen’s last-minute equalizer in the Bundesliga fixture halted his long-awaited moment to lift a major trophy.
The 31-year-old cut a lone figure as the cameras spotted him waiting to run on the pitch and celebrate the Bundesliga title, only for RB Leipzig to score in the final seconds to keep Vincent Kompany’s side waiting.

To add to the misery, Bayern was knocked out of this season’s DFB Pokal in December and fell at the quarter-final stage in the Champions League in the current season.
Despite this, Vincent Kompany’s side were banking their hopes on the outcome of Bayer Leverkusen’s encounter against Freiburg on Sunday.

Xabi Alonso’s Leverkusen, who trailed by nine points and had a huge inferior goal difference of 30, failed to beat Freiburg, drawing 2-2 in the afternoon.
A win for Leverkusen would have required Bayern to win the title with a point in their home clash with Borussia Monchengladbach on May 10.
