Arsenal set to renew contract of winger Bukayo Saka

Arsenal are set to offer a new long-term contract to star winger Bukayo Saka before the end of the year, according to sources.
The 24-year-old, who has just under two years remaining on his contract at the Emirates Stadium, is reportedly set to extend his stay with the North London club, as talks continue over a new deal.
The English international is set to sign a five-year deal, following the example of William Saliba, after reaching an agreement in principle to extend his contract with Arsenal, warding off interest from Real Madrid.

Saka is expected to receive a significant wage increase when he signs his proposed new contract, and sources have indicated that the winger’s salary could reach up to £250,000 per week, making him one of the club’s highest earners.
The winger is one of the important figures in the Arsenal squad, and his contract extension is seen as a priority for the club chiefs and manager Mikel Arteta.
Since his debut in 2018, the England star has made 267 first-team appearances for the Gunners, scoring 71 goals, and he remains an integral member of Arteta’s project at the Emirates.

Arsenal are resolute in securing a new deal with the 24-year-old, and it is understood that a contract extension will be finalized soon, with Saka keen to continue his career with the north London club.
Meanwhile, on Friday, Arteta was visibly delighted and expressed confidence in the superstar extending his contract, viewing him as a key component of the project.
When asked if he expects Saka to sign a new contract ahead of Arsenal’s Premier League clash versus Newcastle United on 28 September, Arteta admitted: “I would love that.
“From everything that I know, he is a player that is extremely happy, and proud to have the role that he has at the football club.
“Things will develop in a natural way, like they always do, and everyone knows how important Bukayo is for us. Hopefully we can do it.”
