AC Milan Goalkeeper Maignan Handed One-Game Ban for Referee Disrespect

AC Milan goalkeeper Mike Maignan has been handed a one-game suspension and a €15,000 fine for disrespecting the referee in the San Siro tunnel following Milan’s 2-1 defeat to Lazio on Sunday.

The disciplinary action means Maignan will be unavailable for Milan’s upcoming Serie A clash against Lecce at the Stadio Via del Mare on March 8.

Maignan’s suspension comes as a surprise, adding to Milan’s concerns as they look to bounce back from their loss to Lazio. With a crucial run of fixtures ahead, the Rossoneri will now have to rely on their backup goalkeeper for the Lecce encounter.

Stay tuned for further updates on Milan’s squad and Maignan’s response to the suspension.
