Arsenal and Bukayo Saka set for new contract talks

Saka’s importance to Arsenal has only grown in his time on the sidelines

Arsenal are set to enter fresh negotiations with Bukayo Saka regarding a new contract, with the club’s sporting director, Andrea Berta, overseeing the talks, according to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano.

Saka, who has been sidelined for an extended period due to injury, is edging closer to a return to action for the Gunners.

The England international has not featured for Arsenal in 2025, having suffered a hamstring injury last year. His absence has been keenly felt, as the Gunners have struggled without him.

Currently earning £195k-a-week, Saka’s return will be a major boost, especially with Arsenal set to face Real Madrid in the Champions League later this month.

He reveals that Arsenal and Saka are set to discuss a new long-term deal, with Berta taking charge of the negotiations for the club.

“After his imminent return on the pitch, Bukayo Saka and his agents will also have new conversations with Arsenal over new long term deal,” Romano said.

“No rush as current contract expires in June 2027 but director Andrea Berta will take care of the process also for Saka’s contract.”

Saka hasn’t been strongly linked with a move away from the club, but if he hesitates to sign a new deal, several top clubs will likely be eager to secure his signature.
