Arsenal monitoring Hugo Ekitike’s situation after preliminary talks

Arsenal have expressed interest in Eintracht Frankfurt striker Hugo Ekitike and have asked to be kept informed about his situation after holding preliminary discussions, according to TBR Football.
Ekitike, who left Paris Saint-Germain last summer, has been in impressive form for Frankfurt, scoring 19 goals in 38 appearances this season.
His performances have attracted interest from several clubs, including Arsenal.
Frankfurt have built a reputation for developing top forwards in recent years, following the success of Randal Kolo Muani and Omar Marmoush – one of the key reasons Ekitike originally chose to join them.

While Arsenal remain interested in Kolo Muani, they are now also considering a move for the 22-year-old French striker, who could serve as an alternative target to Alexander Isak.
TBR Football claims that Arsenal, Liverpool, Newcastle United, and Aston Villa have all enquired about Ekitike’s situation.
Premier League clubs were already tracking Ekitike when he left Reims for PSG in 2023.
Newcastle, in particular, had made a strong push for his signature at the time, but he ultimately rejected their offer. However, the Magpies have continued to monitor his progress ever since.

Arsenal, Liverpool, and Newcastle all had scouts present in Lorient over the international break to watch France U21s secure a thrilling 5-3 victory over England.
One of the main reasons for their attendance was to assess Hugo Ekitike, who boosted his reputation with an impressive hat-trick.
Ekitike showcased his versatility in front of goal, underlining why Eintracht Frankfurt are now prepared to cash in on him.
The Bundesliga club initially set their asking price just shy of £70million, but reports suggest they would consider offers in the region of £60 million – the same fee they received from Manchester City for Omar Marmoush.
