Head Coach Abdul Karim Zito highlighted the importance of the signing, stating:
āIt was important for us to strengthen the defensive midfield position. Currently, we have only one natural option, and we must also manage the development of Lawson Manu, who is still young. Prince understands the league, is tactically disciplined, and will help us maintain stability and intensity in midfield now and in the coming seasons.ā
Speaking after completing his move, Prince Badu said:
āJoining Kotoko is a huge moment in my career. This is the biggest club in the country, and Iām grateful for the opportunity. The expectations are high, but that motivates me. Iām ready to work hard, learn, and give my best to help the team grow.ā
Prince Badu will wear the number 44 jersey as he begins his journey with Asante Kotoko. He is expected to make his debut on Sunday as the Porcupine Warriors face Swedru All Blacks.
