Barcelona marksman Raphinha has opened up on his incredible season with the Catalans this year, revealing that making huge returns on goal contributions is one that means a great deal to him.

This term with Barca, the Brazilian winger has been involved in 52 goal contributions across all competitions.

He registered his 15th La Liga goal of the season by grabbing a brace in the Blaugrana’s dramatic 4-3 comeback over Celta Vigo at the Olympic Stadium.

Speaking after the game to Barca’s media team about his impeccable performances this year, Raphinha said the feeling it brings is “special” and one he never saw coming when he first joined the club in the summer of 2022.

“The hero is not me, it’s the team. To score 50 goals with this team, in less than 3 years here, is something very special for me,” he said.

“Honestly, even in my wildest dreams, I never imagined this was possible. But to actually make it happen is so special.”
