Hearts of Oak goalkeeper Benjamin Asare is reportedly attracting interest from Moroccan giants Raja Casablanca and three unnamed French clubs, as speculation over his future intensifies.

Asare, 32, will become a free agent in June 2025, making him a potential bargain signing for European and African clubs looking for a reliable shot-stopper.

His growing reputation has been bolstered by impressive performances for the Ghana national team.

Benjamin Asare in action for Ghana against Chad in the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers

He made his Black Stars debut in a 5-0 victory against Chad and followed up with another assured display against Madagascar in the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers, keeping clean sheets in both matches.

Ghana coach Otto Addo has since endorsed Asare as the country’s new number-one goalkeeper, ahead of long-time first-choice Lawrence Ati-Zigi and Jojo Wollacott.

The former Great Olympics goalkeeper has been a key figure for Hearts of Oak since joining the club in 2024, earning plaudits for his commanding presence in goal.

Reports suggest initial talks have begun between Asare’s representatives and interested clubs, but Hearts of Oak may still attempt to extend his contract before he officially enters the final six months of his deal.
