Blow for Ghana as Callum Hudson-Odoi eyes England return

Callum Hudson-Odoi has spoken about the possibility of returning to the England national team after five years without a call-up from the Three Lions.

The Nottingham Forest winger, who is also eligible to represent Ghana through his parents’ heritage, has been in impressive form this season, scoring crucial goals as Forest push for a top-four finish.

With Thomas Tuchel now managing a European giant, speculation has grown over Hudson-Odoi’s potential return to international football, especially given his past experience under the German coach during their time together at Chelsea.

“I knew that question was coming,” he told Rio Ferdinand on TNT Sports.

“I think for me, I will take it game by game. No matter what decision happens—if I get picked or if I don’t—I just have to make sure I keep doing what I’m doing, stay consistent, and that will come.

“Just taking it game by game, and hopefully, you never know what happens.”

Hudson-Odoi has been Sensational for Nottingham Forest this Season

Callum Hudson-Odoi scored the decisive goal for Nuno Espirito Santo’s side, beating goalkeeper Ederson at his near post with seven minutes remaining in an otherwise uneventful contest.

The victory moved Nottingham Forest four points clear of Manchester City.

With fifth place likely to secure a spot in the UEFA Champions League, Forest are on the verge of returning to Europe’s premier club competition for the first time since the 1980-81 season.

It marks a remarkable transformation under Nuno, as Forest finished just six points above the relegation zone last season – 59 points behind champions City.
