GFA empowers Regional Football Associations with Nissan Navara pickups

The Ghana Football Association has taken a significant step towards decentralizing football development by handing over Nissan Navara pickups to eight Regional Football Associations. The beneficiary regions include¹:

– Brong Ahafo Regional FA

– Upper West Regional FA

• Central Regional FA

– Western Regional FA

– Eastern Regional FA

– Upper East Regional FA

– Volta Regional FA

– Ashanti Regional FA

These vehicles, provided under the FIFA Forward program, will support the day-to-day administrative and operational activities of the RFAs, boosting efficiency and accessibility in the regions. The Greater Accra Regional FA and Northern Regional FA will receive their vehicles in a subsequent phase.

GFA President Kurt Edwin Simeon-Okraku expressed confidence that the vehicles would enhance football development across the country, aligning with the GFA’s vision to promote grassroots football and ensure all regions contribute meaningfully to the national football agenda.

This initiative underscores the GFA’s commitment to maximizing the benefits of international support programs like FIFA Forward.
