Ghanaian forward Ibrahim Zubairu has completed a loan move to Turkish TFF 1. Lig side Çorum FK, seeking regular playing time and a fresh start in the second half of the season.

The deal will keep Zubairu at Çorum FK until the end of the season, with an obligation to buy set at €2.3 million should the club secure promotion to the Turkish Super Lig.

Zubairu’s temporary departure from Partizan comes amid intense competition for places, with Demba Seck and Nemanja Trifunović currently ahead of him in the starting XI. Despite returning from injury, the Ghanaian found it difficult to command consistent minutes.

The forward suffered a serious knee injury last year during Partizan’s 2–0 victory over Radnički 1923 in the Serbian Super Liga, a setback that disrupted his momentum. Although he has since recovered, opportunities remained limited

Standing at 1.75 m (5 ft 9 in), Zubairu is admired for his agility, intelligence, and clinical finishing, attributes that have defined his career so far.

Zubairu began his senior career at King Faisal, where he made 47 appearances and scored 14 goals between 2020 and 2022, before moving to Serbian side Jedinstvo Ub, registering 20 goals in 59 appearances from 2022 to 2024.

He joined Partizan Belgrade in 2024 and has since featured 33 times, scoring 10 goals for the Serbian giants.

At international level, Zubairu has represented Ghana’s U20s, earning four caps and scoring once, and has also featured twice for the U23 side, highlighting his steady rise.

Zubairu will be hoping to rediscover his form in Turkey and play a decisive role as Çorum FK chase promotion to the Super Lig.

Çorum FK currently sit 6th in the league standings, just seven points off the promotion places, with everything still to play for.
