Bournemouth defender Dean Huijsen has reacted to being linked with a summer move to Real Madrid in Spain, indicating that the feeling is one that is pleasing, considering the status of the club involved.
On Thursday night in Rotterdam, Huijsen made his debut for Spain in their 2-2 stalemate with Holland after Pau Cubarsi was subbed off due to injury.
At only 19 years old, Huijsen received his first Spanish senior team call up. Now having made his debut, reports in Spain indicate that Real’s interest in the player has intensified and Dean Huijsen says news about a move to Madrid produces a wholesome feeling in him.
“Its an honor when such a big club is interested in me. I’m only thinking of ending the season well, then when the time comes we will see”, Huijsen told the press about Madrid after the game.”
Spain welcome Netherlands to Valencia on Sunday, March 23, at Mestalla, hoping to book a last four slot in the UEFA Nations League. Huijsen will be a name considered once again for La Roja in defense as Luis De La Fuente aims for more glory after his Euro 2024 triumph.
