Man United lead race to sign Ghana’s Antoine Semenyo from Bournemouth

Manchester United are believed to be leading the race to sign Ghanaian forward Antoine Semenyo from Bournemouth this summer.
Man United are reportedly expected to face competition for Semenyo from several other Premier League clubs, including Liverpool.
Reports has it that, United head coach Ruben Amorim is thought to be a big admirer of Semenyo and has a plan on how to deploy him in a new-look attack next season.

Competitions for the 25-year-old is keen this season, as every top-six club apart from Arsenal is thought to have shown some interest for the player.
Aside United, are Tottenham who are also believed to be interested in Semenyo ahead of a summer window that is expected to see a significant amount of players move across the Premier League.

Despite being linked with the Red Devils, Bournemouth would want to keep their prized asset by warding off suitors, and are understood to value him as high as £70m.
However, there are indications that a similar deal like that of Dominic Solanke last summer could take effect – Tottenham Hotspur paying a structured deal of £65m with add-ons.

United and Amorim are believed to be on the same page on repositioning the team to compete strongly next season, and there are clear indications to bring in quality players that suits the manager’s style of play, with forwards among their priorities.
Meanwhile, the likes of Jadon Sancho, Marcus Rashford and Antony are all expected to leave the club permanently, most likely to their current loan clubs.
Semenyo, who has scored 11 goals in all competitions so far this season, signed for Bournemouth in January 2023 for £10.5m from Championship side Bristol City.
He still has four years left on his contract after signing a new deal last year with the Cherries.
The forward has been in scintillating form this season, after surpassing his own goal record for last season in all competitions (10).
