Manchester United targeting striker reinforcements in summer overhaul

Manchester United are planning to make significant additions to their attack in the upcoming summer transfer window, according to reports.
United’s attack has struggled this season, with the Red Devils scoring just 37 goals in 29 Premier League games – fewer than 17th-placed, relegation-threatened Wolverhampton Wanderers.
Bruno Fernandes is the club’s top scorer, with eight goals, closely followed by Amad Diallo, who has been sidelined by injury for the past six weeks.
Rasmus Højlund scored his first goal in 21 appearances during United’s 3-0 win over Leicester City on Sunday, although that was only his third goal of the league season.
As Manchester United look to improve on their current 13th-place league position, the Red Devils are reportedly “intensively scouting the market,” according to Sky Sport Germany.
The report lists four strikers who are reportedly “high” on United’s list of targets: Hugo Ekitike, Benjamin Å eÅ¡ko, Viktor Gyökeres, and Victor Osimhen.
Arsenal and Liverpool also Interested in Hugo Ekitike
Arsenal and Liverpool are both monitoring Ekitike, who has impressed at Eintracht Frankfurt, currently sitting in fourth place in the Bundesliga.

RB Leipzig, three points behind Frankfurt, have been bolstered by the 10 league goals scored by Slovenia international Šeško.
Any suitor can activate his £66m release clause this summer. Gyökeres, a prolific figure at Sporting CP, is also on the radar of several clubs across Europe.

However, the forward is reportedly leaning towards a move to one of Arsenal, Liverpool, or Manchester City.
Osimhen, a long-term target for United, is currently on loan at Galatasaray from Napoli. The Nigerian international’s release clause has reportedly been lowered from over £100m to around £70m.
Though Osimhen has been non-committal regarding his future, he is expected to move on this summer.
