The 23-year-old has been without a club since Manchester City opted not to renew his contract in 2022.
Aminu rose to prominence as part of Ghana’s squad at the 2017 FIFA U-17 World Cup in India, where the team reached the quarterfinals. His exceptional talent caught the attention of Manchester City, who signed him from WAFA for $2 million.

Aminu, who was widely regarded as “the Neymar” because of his immense dribbling skills and scoring abilities, was at one point being chased by European giants Real Madrid and Bayern Munich.
His exploits in international tournaments also drew the attention of high-spending French side Paris Saint-Germain after he scored twice against them at the Al Kass Tournament in Qatar in 2016.
However, his career has faced significant challenges. Loan spells at NAC Breda and Lommel SK were marred by injuries and inconsistency, and he was eventually released by Manchester City after failing to meet expectations.
His most recent club was Kozanis, a lower-division side in Greece, where he joined as a free agent.
Despite a promising start as a teenager, Aminu has struggled to recapture the form that once made him one of Ghana’s most highly regarded prospects.
The attacker is hopeful that his move to Bechem United will reignite his career and allow him to make a strong impact in the Ghana Premier League after three difficult years.
He is the fourth signing of the club following the signing of Abdul Basit Mohammed, Frank Promise, and Dennis Votere.
