FC Barcelona manager Hansi Flick has hailed Pedri Gonzalez as the ‘best midfielder’ in the world after his man of the match award in the Catalans’ 3-0 in over Osasuna on Thursday night in La Liga.
This season, Pedri has been immense for Barca in midfield, topping the charts for most interceptions won by a midfielder in Europe while controlling the tempo from deep for the Blaugrana.
Speaking to the press after Pedri was handed his eighth man of the match award in La Liga this year, Flick heaped loads of praise on the 22-year-old, insisting his player is the best available midfielder on the globe.

“I keep saying that for me, Pedri is the best midfielder in the world right now. It is a pleasure to watch him playing. He is fantastic.. a truly unbelievable player.”
On Sunday, Hansi Flick’s side host Girona at home, and they will be once again aiming to keep their place on top of the standings with 10 matches to go in La Liga.
