Premier League confirms Summer 2025 Transfer Window dates

Premier League clubs have agreed on the dates for the Summer 2025 transfer window.
Due to an exceptional registration period related to the FIFA Club World Cup, the window will open early, running from Sunday, June 1, to Tuesday, June 10.
It will then reopen on Monday, June 16, before officially closing on Monday, September 1.

The earlier transfer window will allow Chelsea and Manchester City to register new players in time for the Club World Cup, which begins in the United States on June 14.
Earlier this week, reports emerged that some clubs were advocating for the transfer deadline to be moved forward, ideally before the new season begins on August 14.
However, the deadline will remain at the beginning of September. This suggestion stemmed from the desire of several heads of recruitment to have their squads fully completed before the season kicks off.

The proposal, however, was complicated by the fact that most European leagues, along with the high-spending Saudi Pro League, intend to keep their transfer windows open until September.
The decision was made at a Premier League shareholders’ meeting on Thursday morning. As always, a minimum of 14 clubs must vote in favour for any rule changes to be implemented.
A brief statement said: “Premier League clubs have today agreed the dates for the Summer 2025 Transfer Window. The window will open early, between Sunday 1 June and Tuesday 10 June, due to an exceptional registration period relating to the FIFA Club World Cup.
“It will then reopen on Monday 16 June and close on Monday 1 September.”
The 2025/26 Premier League season will begin on the weekend of August 16 and conclude on May 24. The schedule will feature 33 weekend rounds of fixtures along with five midweek matchweeks.
