Holland midfielder Ryan Gravenberch has been released from Netherlands squad for the upcoming UEFA Nations League games due to an injury he reportedly sustained in Liverpool’s Cup final loss to Newcastle last weekend.

Ryan Gravenberch was taken off in the final 20 minutes of that fixture for Federico Chiesa, who pulled one back for the Merseyside Reds in injury time.

The 22-year-old was included in Ronald Koeman’s squad for the next matches yet is now withdrawn from the team due to a growing injury, as per reports.

This season, Gravenberch has remained crucial for the Liverpool in midfield, picking up interceptions and directing play alongside Argentina’s Alexis Mac Allister.

Liverpool’s medical team will now assess the duration and severity of Gravenberch’s injury to see how long the player will be out and who is best fit to take his place for the final matches of the season.
