19-year-old Spanish goalkeeper Fran Gonzalez will be making his debut for Real Madrid on Saturday afternoon when they welcome Valencia to the Santiago Bernabeu in La Liga.

The teenage shot stopper was called upon by Carlo Ancelotti after the main goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois was ruled out for the game due to an injury, while his backup Andriy Lunin suffers from a muscle problem.

Garcia has been part of Real’s first team since 2023 and has shown Madrid’s coaching staff why he should be relied upon whenever needed.

He will be hoping to keep a clean sheet, but will be glad to have lived a childhood dream of featuring at the very top for Los Blancos.

Winning against Valencia will see Madrid temporarily level Barcelona on the league table as the Catalans take on Real Betis at home later on Saturday night.

Fran Gonzalez could be the talk of the town in the hours to come, and he will be aiming to show his very best to the Madrid fans at home.
