Trent Alexander-Arnold unveiled as Real Madrid player

Trent Alexander-Arnold has officially been unveiled as a Real Madrid player after completing his medical.
The 26-year-old has put pen to paper on a six-year deal. He arrives from Liverpool, who received €10million to release him from his contract ahead of the Club World Cup.
Alexander-Arnold was set to leave the Premier League champions on a free transfer when his contract expired on June 30.
Real Madrid president Florentino Pérez said: “We’ve signed a legend, one of the best in the world. Trent’s dream has come true.
“You have chosen to play for Real Madrid, the biggest club in the world”.
“We have a great relationship with Liverpool, they are our dear friends”.

FIFA recently approved an additional transfer window from June 1 to June 10, allowing clubs to register new players ahead of the expanded month-long Club World Cup.
Alexander-Arnold has been with Liverpool since joining the Reds at the age of six.

During his time at Anfield, he won two Premier League titles, the Champions League, FIFA Club World Cup, UEFA Super Cup, FA Cup, and League Cup.

He finished his Liverpool career with 23 goals and 86 assists in 352 appearances across all competitions.

Trent Alexander-Arnold will reunite in Madrid with England teammate Jude Bellingham, as well as former Liverpool and Real Madrid midfielder Xabi Alonso.

Alonso has taken over as Real Madrid’s head coach, succeeding Carlo Ancelotti after the club failed to secure a major domestic or European trophy for the first time since the 2020/21 season.
