Mikel Arteta is keen on strengthening his forward line following the end of Raheem Sterling’s loan spell from Chelsea.
Arsenal are in search of a new striker, however, they are also in the market for a new wide forward.
The Premier League club are monitoring Rodrygo’s situation at Madrid closely. Real Madrid are under no pressure to sell the forward, who would command a significant fee.
Reports in Spain claim the La Liga giants would demand in the region of €90million (£77m) to part ways with Rodrygo this summer.
He was named in the Real Madrid starting line-up by new manager Xabi Alonso for their FIFA Club World Cup opener against Al-Hilal on Wednesday.
Gonzalo Garcia opened the scoring for the La Liga outfit, but Ruben Neves equalised for the Saudi Pro League from the penalty spot.
