According to a report by Bild, Bayer Leverkusen have reduced their asking price for Nigeria striker Victor Boniface, with the club now seeking around €50m for his services.
This development comes as Leverkusen look to offload Boniface in the summer transfer window, following a tumultuous period for the player.
Boniface’s future at Leverkusen has been uncertain since his proposed move to Al-Nassr fell through in January.
The Saudi Arabian side ultimately opted to sign Jhon Duran from Aston Villa instead, leaving Boniface to struggle for form and playing time with Leverkusen.
The striker’s behaviour has also been called into question, particularly after a public on-pitch argument with teammate Emiliano Buendia during a 4-1 win over Eintracht Frankfurt.

With Leverkusen unwilling to retain both Boniface and Patrik Schick on their roster heading into next season, the Nigerian’s departure appears increasingly likely.
By lowering their asking price to €50m, the Bundesliga champions hope to attract potential suitors and facilitate a smooth transfer process.
By offloading one of their high-profile players, Leverkusen aim to create space for new signings and reinforce their competitive edge in the Bundesliga and European competitions.
