Eder Militao returns to training for the first time since ACL injury

Real Madrid defender Eder Militao has returned to training on grass for the first time since he secured his second ACL injury at the start of the season last year.

Militao had his second anterior crucial Ligament tear on November 9, 2024, and has since struggled to take to Madrid’s training pitch for ball work.

Nonetheless, positive news from Spain now indicates that the Brazilian has began training on grass and could return before the end of the season to feature for Real like he did in the previous campaign.

It would be a major boost for Madrid, who could potentially use Militao’s experience as well as the depth he could provide for Antonio Rudiger and Raul Acensio in the central areas of defense.

In five seasons, Eder Militao has made 172 appearances for Madrid, but though that sounds impressive, he has only featured in 30 games in the last two years.

He will definitely be aiming to bounce back strong and place his injury woes behind him.

Real Madrid have shown over the years under Carlo Ancelotti that there is always another outlet or option to deal with their injury situations as they remain confident of defending their UEFA Champions League title this summer.
