Arteta on Arsenal summer

Mikel Arteta has revealed that Arsenal will be signing big this summer, recruiting new names to improve their squad ahead of the 2025/26 season.

Arsenal yet again look so far from the Premier League title though they sit in second place on the league standings behind leaders Liverpool, who are five wins away from being crowned champions.

Nonetheless, Arteta says all is not lost on his side, who are sure to bounce back strong next season with a much-improved squad.

Speaking in the Arsenal-Fulham pre-match presser, Arteta said: “It is going to be a big transfer window for us, we are very excited about it.

“We need the depth of the squad, but as well, you want to increase certain qualities and skills that we need to now go to the next step.”

On Tuesday night, Arsenal take on Fulham at home, aiming for that much-needed win to keep their title chances alive.

12 points separate Mikel Arteta’s side from the top, and with nine games to go, they will be hoping Liverpool drop crucial points in the next matchdays as they can still challenge for the title.
