Mauricio Pochettino didn’t give me ‘words of advice’ – Dele Alli

Dele Alli has revealed that Mauricio Pochettino didn’t give him any ‘words of advice’ during his time at Tottenham Hotspur but strengthened him to be himself.
The Como star failed to live up to the hype during his surging form at Tottenham in the early parts of his career under the current USMNT manager.
The England international shone with Spurs before injuries, lack of form, and off-field problems curtailed his career, even at an early stage.

He left the North London side and moved to join Everton, however, he struggled to find form with the Mersey-side Blues as well, leading to a major snag on his career.

Pochettino remains the coach under whom Dele has received the most minutes, and the midfielder has now reported how the now USMNT boss allowed him to be himself on and off the pitch.
Como TV, Dele said: “I think Poch, what he just said to me was to be myself, and it wouldn’t be so much words of advice.
“It was more like he just kind of allowed me to be like myself on the pitch.”
Como are currently 13th in the Serie A standings, and all signs show that they are likely to continue in the Italian top flight next season.
The Italian side currently has a very mixed squad with youngsters, experienced players, and leaders in the mould of Dele Alli working together, with reports indicating that the attacking midfielder is keen on helping the squad develop.
