Bayern Munich will look to overturn a 2-1 deficit against Inter Milan in the Champions League
Former Bayern Munich chief describes the club as ‘an absolute disaster’

Former Bayern Munich chief Uli Hoeness has slammed the club for its recent uncharacteristic performance, issuing a warning to manager Vincent Kompany and the players.
Hoeness lamented, the Bavarians became an “average team” under Thomas Tuchel in the 2023-24 campaign as they finished the season without winning any trophies.
However, the 73-year-old acknowledged the team’s rise in form under new manager Kompany and went on to issue a warning to the former Burnley coach as the 2024-25 season reaches its climax.

Speaking on Bavarian Broadcasting program Blickpunkt Sport, Hoeness said: “Last year was an absolute disaster.
“We became an average team and ended up third. That’s pretty much the worst thing that could happen to FC Bayern.
“You can’t compare last year’s situation with this one.
“We have to be careful not to take the German championship, which we hope to win, for granted.”
Bayern currently leads the Bundesliga title race by six points with just five matches to go in the season, and Kompany’s men look likely to reclaim the title after a much-improved team under his guidance.
In the Champions League, however, the German giants have their work cut out as they trail 2-1 in their two-legged Champions League quarter-final fixture against Inter.
