Bayern Munich will be looking to overturn a 2-1 deficit against Inter Milan at San Siro
Bayern ‘need a minor miracle’ – Karl-Heinz Rummenigge

Bayern Munich legend club legend Karl-Heinz Rummenigge has offered a drab assessment of the Champions League quarter-final tie with Inter Milan ahead of the second leg at San Siro.
Bayern are looking to overturn a 2-1 deficit in their quarter-final first leg with the Serie A giants, but Karl-Heinz Rummenigge isn’t confident about the prospects of Vincent Kompany’s men making it to the next stage of the elite competition.
Bayern, who are hit with several injuries, lost 2-1 at home in the first leg, and former CEO Rummenigge, who won the European Cup twice with the Bavarians as a player before later joining Inter, expressed little hope of a turnaround.

The 69-year-old has claimed that they need a “minor miracle” to overcome their first-leg deficit against Inter Milan in the Champions League quarter-finals.
In an inteview with La Gazzetta dello Sport, Rummenigge said:
“In my opinion, Bayern will need a minor miracle after the result of the first leg in Munich because Inter showed themselves as a great team against us, really.
“It will be a difficult match for Bayern, but not impossible. But for me, Inter will be the favourites to go through.”
Aside from Bayern’s well-documented injury list, the problem is that Die Roten have shown few signs of defensive solidity, as Saturday’s 2-2 draw with Borussia Dortmund in Der Klassiker illustrated.
It will be seen as a “raggy” road trip to Italy for Bayern on Wednesday, on a ground where Inter have only lost once as the home team in San Siro all season, that defeat coming at the hands of co-tenants AC Milan in Serie A back in September.
