The Porcupine Warriors have now gone four games without defeat against their arch rivals

The match was marked by plenty of chances, but both teams failed to convert them, ultimately settling for a stalemate.

Hearts, despite their recent poor performance, showed resilience and determination, with goalkeeper Benjamin Asare making several vital saves in the first half.

Asante Kotoko, on the other hand, started the brighter of the two and looked more threatening in the opening exchanges.

The Porcupine Warriors started very well causing problems to the Phobains but failed to get the breakthrough.

Hearts defender Kelvin Osei Asibey did well to stop attack from Albert Amoah to deny Kotoko from taking an early lead.

Hearts of Oak finally made their first incursion in the 33rd minute from a corner but Asibey was denied.

The controversial moment of the game appeared in the 40th minute when Kotoko’s Wisdom Fernando Bassey won the ball and appeared clean through on goal, but his challenge on a Hearts defender was ruled a foul a decision kotoko fans couldn’t believe.

The first half ended 0-0 with both teams squandering many opportunities.

In the second half, both teams created chances, but neither could find the breakthrough.

Stephen Appiah Asare of Hearts was denied by a wonderful goalkeeping saved by Kotoko’s Mohammed Camara.

Saaka Dauda of Kotoko also came close but saw his effort missed the far post by inches.

The draw keeps Asante Kotoko in fourth place, while Hearts of Oak sit sixth hoping to finish at least in the top four.

The result means both teams will have to regroup and refocus if they want to achieve their objectives in the league.
