Arsenal have signed Christian Norgaard to replace Thomas Partey
Arsenal agree deal with Brentford for midfielder Christian Norgaard

Arsenal have reportedly finalized a £9.5 million (€11m) agreement with Brentford for midfielder Christian Norgaard, aimed at completing the transfer this summer.
According to Italian transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, both clubs have agreed to the proposal with personal terms already agreed with the player, who has been given the green light to travel for his medical.
Fabrizio adds that Nørgaard is expected to replace Ghanaian midfielder Thomas Partey, whose future has been in the balance since the season ended.

Partey, who has been linked with a move to the Saudi Pro League, has a contract that ends this summer, and with this news, it looks likely that the Gunners may not renew the 32-year-old midfielder’s contract.
Fabrizio posted on his X (Twitter page):
“Christian Nørgaard to Arsenal, here we go! Agreement done club to club after €11m proposal sent today.
“Personal terms also agreed with Nørgaard set for medical, Brentford have authorized the player to travel.
“New midfielder to replace Thomas.”
Arsenal are keen on strengthening their central midfield options and have agreed a deal to sign Brentford’s Norgaard as a midfield reinforcement.
With Jorginho already leaving the club for Brazilian side Flamengo, and Partey set to leave as a free agent, the Denmark international’s signing comes timely enough to fill the void.

Meanwhile, the Gunners have already completed a deal for Real Sociedad midfielder Martin Zubimendi, which is expected to be announced soon.
Norgaard joined Brentford in 2019, helping them win promotion to the Premier League under former boss Thomas Frank, who has recently taken over from Ange Postecoglou as Tottenham manager. Meaning, the two Danes could come up against each other in the north London derby.
Despite signing two new midfielders already, Arsenal are expected to finalise a deal for goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga soon, having triggered a £5m release clause in the Spaniard’s Chelsea contract, while they are also hoping to land striker Viktor Gyokeres from Sporting CP.
