Speaking at the 31st Ordinary Congress at the E.T. Mensah Hall, Ghanaman Centre of Excellence in Prampram, Okraku revealed that the landmark cash reward reflects the Association’s commitment to improving financial incentives for top-flight clubs.
The prize money has been quadrupled from GHS 500,000 to GHS 2 million.
“The winner of the 2025/26 GPL will take home GHS 2 million as prize money,” Okraku declared. “This is a story that has never been told, but today it’s being told. It has been our gospel according to our Premier League every point is important, and now there’s GHS 2 million at stake.”
