Nicolas Jackson’s costly €15 million loan move to Bayern Munich has collapsed
Chelsea striker Nicolas Jackson’s move to Bayern Munich OFF

Chelsea have called off Nicolas Jackson’s protracted season-long loan move to German giants Bayern Munich, according to journalist Florian Plattenberg.
Bayern had agreed to sign the 24-year-old on a season-long loan deal with an option to buy for €65 million; however, the transfer has now collapsed.
The Blues have been forced to cancel the deal that would have seen the Senegalese international spend the rest of the season in the Bundesliga, as the player asked to explore other options elsewhere after falling behind the pecking order since the arrival of Liam Delap and Joao Pedro.

Jackson traveled to Munich on Saturday to finalize his move to Bayern. Still, he was asked to return to Chelsea hours later after Liam Delap sustained a hamstring injury during the Blues’ 2-0 victory over Fulham.
The former Villarreal player initially refused to return to London due to his desire to join the reigning Bundesliga champions, and his representatives were desperate to finalize an agreement for their client to complete his move to Vincent Kompany’s side.
However, recent developments have left Bayern with no choice but to “officially withdraw” from the deal, according to Plattenberg.

The Blues are now not expected to sign a new striker to replace the injured Delap, with Jackson set to be reintegrated into the first team at Stamford Bridge.
Jackson’s costly €15 million loan move to Bayern was projected as the highest of all time had the deal gone through.
Enzo Maresca’s team had considered signing Sporting CP striker Conrad Harder, who has reportedly agreed to personal terms with RB Leipzig, while also evaluating the option of recalling Marc Guiu from his loan at Sunderland.
Meanwhile, Jackson will return to West London and compete with Joao Pedro for a starting spot in Liam Delap’s absence.
The Senegal star netted 13 goals in 37 appearances for Chelsea last season, with his contract at the club running until 2033 following a new long-term deal signed last year.
