Inaki Williams, Salis start as Otto Addo names strong starting XI vs. Chad

The Black Stars are seeking to complete the double over Chad

Black Stars coach Otto Addo has named a strong starting XI to face Chad as Ghana looks to take another crucial step towards qualification for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

As expected, the coach is sticking with his preferred 4-2-3-1 formation, setting up his side to go all out in attack this afternoon.

Hearts of Oak goalkeeper Benjamin Asare retains his place between the sticks. Caleb Yirenkyi has been handed his official debut at right-back, with Gideon Mensah operating from the left. At the heart of defense, Jonas Adjetey of FC Basel will partner Jerome Opoku.

In midfield, Salis Abdul Samed will anchor the defensive role while Elisha Owusu takes charge of the box-to-box duties. Mohammed Kudus will slot in just behind the main striker.

Up front, Jordan Ayew is expected to lead the line, flanked by Antoine Semenyo on the right and Inaki Williams on the left.

Ghana go into the game as Group leaders with 15 points after six matches, while Chad sit bottom with no points.

The game kicks off at 13:00 GMT at the Stade Olympique Maréchal Idriss Déby Itno.
