Aduana coach Cioba Aristica threatens to quit after opening day defeat

Aduana Stars head coach Cioba Aristica has hinted at a possible exit from the club if immediate changes are not made to strengthen his technical setup.
The Romanian tactician expressed frustration following the Ogya Boys’ 1-0 defeat to Karela United on the opening day of the 2025/26 Ghana Premier League.
Aduana conceded in just the third minute, and despite their efforts, failed to recover, resulting in a 0-1 defeat at the Aliu Mahama Stadium in Tamale.

Speaking at the post-match press conference, Aristica did not mince words:
“I need professionals around me… I’m not happy with what I’m seeing. If I don’t get results in the next few games, I’ll step aside for someone else.”
The coach, however, took time to apologise to Aduana’s fans for the disappointing start to the season:
“I apologise to the club fans for the defeat against Karela United. We are really sorry with the result. It was our first game of the season and we needed to win to get off to a flying start, but it didn’t happen. It was a difficult game for us.”
Aduana Stars will have the chance to bounce back when they host Nations FC in their matchday two fixture at the Nana Agyemang Badu I Park.
