GPL Matchday 4: Goldstars win away, Lions remain unbeaten

Matchday Four of the Ghana Premier League produced intriguing results across all centers, with several teams maintaining their unbeaten runs while others grabbed their first victories of the season.
In Kumasi, Heart of Lions continued their impressive start with a hard-fought goalless draw against Asante Kotoko at the Baba Yara Stadium. The Kpando-based side remain unbeaten and stay top of the league standings.

In Swedru, Bibiani Goldstars bounced back from their CAF Champions League exit with a narrow 1–0 away win over Swedru All Blacks.
A second-half strike from Michael Nkoah handed the hosts their first home defeat of the season.
At Bechem, Hearts of Oak were held to a goalless stalemate by Bechem United at the Nana Fosu Gyeabour Park.
The Phobians kept a fourth straight clean sheet, while Bechem remain winless with two draws and two defeats.
Elsewhere at Tarkwa, Medeama SC returned to winning ways with a 2–1 victory over Nations FC at the Akoon Park. Emmanuel Owusu opened the scoring with a free kick, before Emmanuel Annor equalized for Nations. Abdul Salam struck late to secure all three points for the Mauve and Yellow.

At Hohoe, newly promoted Hohoe United claimed their first win of the campaign with a resounding 4–1 triumph over Karela United. A brace from Safianu Osman and goals from William Oduro and Sena Atti sealed a dominant display for the hosts.
At Kasoa, Dreams FC were held to a 1–1 draw by Vision FC at the Tuba AstroTurf. Daniel Yemoh gave Vision the lead before John Antwi converted from the spot to level the scores.

At Berekum, Berekum Chelsea earned their first win of the season, defeating Basake Holy Stars 2–0 thanks to goals from Prince Anane and Faisal Shaibu.

At Swedru, Eleven Wonders’ struggles continued as they suffered their fourth consecutive defeat, losing 1–0 to Young Apostles courtesy of a late strike from Richmond Opoku.
Meanwhile, the match between Samartex and Aduana Stars at Samreboi was postponed due to heavy rain.
