Ashanti Region Division Two promotional group stage confirmed

Eight teams will battle it out for the ultimate at the Baba Yara Stadium

The draw for the 2025/26 Ashanti Regional Division Two (2) promotional tournament was conducted this afternoon, setting up a series of highly competitive fixtures expected to deliver fireworks across all matchdays.

As usual, the tournament brings together champions from the various zones of the regular season, with the ultimate aim of qualifying for the Division One Championship.

This year, the champions of all six zones have secured automatic qualification, while the second-placed teams from Zones 3 and 6 complete the eight-team lineup.

Adansi United and Acceler8z FC emerged as the second-best teams in Zones 3 and 6 respectively, earning their places in the competition to complete the final list of qualifiers.

The eight qualified sides have been divided into two groups of four, with the winners of each group set to advance to the final to battle for promotion.

Last season’s finalists, Benab FC, have been drawn in Group B in what is shaping up to be a tough challenge.

They will face sworn rivals Accelr8ez FC, Pro Players Academy, and Adansi United, setting up a highly anticipated rematch between Benab and Adansi United after their previous encounter in the zonal stage.

Group A is also expected to produce intense competition, as all four teams arrive as zonal champions, raising the stakes even higher.

Jachie United FC, Fast Track FC, Pro Sports Academy, and Sassamo Panin FC will all battle for a place in the final in what promises to be a tightly contested group.

Notably, all teams in Group A won their respective zones, unlike Group B where the inclusion of the two strongest runners-up adds extra depth and unpredictability to the competition.

Benab FC will be looking for redemption this year after narrowly losing 2–1 to Ebony FC in last year’s final.

The tournament will run from 27th April 2026 to 4th May 2026 at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium.
