Yan Diamonde will sign a seven-year contract with Real Madrid until 2031
Real Madrid agree deal to sign Yan Diomande from Leipzig

Real Madrid have completed one of the most anticipated transfer deals of the summer by reaching an agreement with Bundesliga giants RB Leipzig to sign forward Yan Diomande for a guaranteed transfer fee of €125 million, with easily achievable add-ons that could reach €135 million.
Meanwhile, the overall deal could rise to €140 million if all difficult-to-achieve bonuses are met. La Liga side Leganes will receive a sizeable fee of around 5% to 10% of the transfer profit as part of the agreement, due to a smartly inserted sell-on clause from any future transfer when they sold him to Leipzig in 2025.
He will become Madrid’s most expensive signing ever, Leipzig’s record sale, and the most expensive African footballer in history, overtaking Nicolas Pepe’s previous milestone with his move from Lille to Premier League champions Arsenal for €80m in August 2019.

The 19-year-old attacker’s move surpasses the previous club-record fee (€103m) paid for Jude Bellingham by Los Blancos in the summer of 2023. Diamonde’s move also shatters Leipzig’s outgoing sales history.
The versatile attacker, who is capable of playing on both wings of the attack, will sign a seven-year contract with the Spanish club until 2033, with an option for a further year.
The Ivorian international attracted massive interest and advanced transfer talks with elite European clubs, with the 15-time Champions League winners closing in on a massive deal after Paris Saint-Germain and Liverpool withdrew from the race.

PSG withdrew from the deal due to the financial demands, while Liverpool turned to other alternatives while the transfer circus dragged on.
