Carlo Ancelotti set to start Dani Ceballos

Carlo Ancelotti has reportedly decided to hand Dani Ceballos his first start after his February injury to help Real Madrid in midfield as they aim for a comeback against Arsenal.

The first-leg of the crucial UEFA Champions League quarter-final tie showed Arsenal dominant in midfield over Real, who lacked the attacking conviction and balance to impose themselves away from home in London.

Declan Rice, Thomas Partey and Martin Odegaard showed their best selves in what was one of the best nights for the Gunners in the history of the Champions League, and that trio will be aiming for more at the Santiago Bernabeu.

Only this weekend, Real managed to rediscover Ceballos to the squad, and it appears Ancelotti has already made his mind on how to break down Arsenal by using a player who spent about two years with Mikel Arteta in England.

Spanish outlet relevo reports that Ancelotti has defined Ceballos’ task to him, detailing the tactics required to hurt the Gunners at the Bernabeu come Wednesday night.

Joining Ceballos in midfield would be Aurelian Tchouameni and Jude Bellingham, as Real aim to create another majestic night in Europe with their fans rallying fully behind them.

Real are aiming for the comeback, and Ceballos could be the difference for Madrid as they look to defend their title as current champions and record winners of the Champions League.
