Man Utd defender Leny Yoro says player Arsenal let go could soon become “one of the best”

Man Utd defender Leny Yoro thinks Arsenal may regret offloading Chido Obi to them

Arsenal are no new customer when it comes to allowing several talented players to leave the Emirates Stadium, and this feat was repeated in 2024 when they allowed quite a number of talents to walk out the door.

Mikel Arteta sanctioned exits for Emile Smith Rowe and Eddie Nketiah – who joined Fulham and Crystal Palace, respectively – while Mika Biereth was also allowed to go, a player who is now proving his talent at Monaco.

Furthermore, Nuno Tavares is impressing at Lazio – after Arsenal let the Portuguese defender move on loan with an obligation for the Italian giants to make his transfer permanent.

Elsewhere, another talent in Chido Obi was allowed to join Manchester United on a free transfer in October after Arsenal rejected the 17-year-old’s wage demands.

Manchester United French under-21 defender Leny Yoro has weighed in on the Gunners for some of their past and present decisions on their star players, making a big claim for the teenage striker Chido Obi.

The Frenchman, who joined Manchester United in a £52m move from Lille back in July, is a big fan of Obi.

Yoro reportedly told Viaplay, how he feels Obi can become the World’s Best Striker.

“Chido is talented. He can become one of the world’s best strikers in my opinion, if he continues his development.

“He scores a lot of goals and is a good boy, so I also hope that he will become one of the best.

“He has had his chance in a few games, and I of course hope that he will soon open his goal account in the first team. That will help the team.”
