He’s won multiple trophies with the club including the Champions League and the Premier League.
But in recent days, Liverpool fans have expressed displeasure upon hearing his imminent move to Real Madrid.
“You should be saying thank you and good luck. You didn’t pay a penny for him. He came through your academy. He’s one of your own and he won it all,” Ferdinand posted in a video format on his Twitter account.
“He’s been one of the most productive players in one of your most successful periods in recent years and because he’s choosing to leave the club, not for a rival,” Rio Ferdinand added.

“He’s going to the biggest club in the world right now which is Real Madrid. You should be clapping him off and say we will give you a hero’s welcome,” the legend said firmly.
Trent-Arnold is set to win the Premier League once again as Liverpool remain top of the league log.
Liverpool is reportedly in search of a new full-back with Bayer Leverkusen full-back Jeremie Frimpong on their list.
