Vinicius Jr has one year left on his current contract at Real Madrid
Vinicius Jr breaks silence over Real Madrid contract renewal

Real Madrid forward Vinicius Jr has finally broken his silence on his contract renewal at the Santiago Bernabeu, following months of speculation and uncertainty amid various reports.
The Brazilian international has spoken after several claims that he was handed an ultimatum to sign a contract extension, or risk being sold in the summer, with just a year left on his current contract at Madrid.
Reports from Spain reportedly indicated that Los Blancos have given him “a last chance”; that the contract currently on the table will be the final one – take it or leave it at the end of the season.

However, the long saga over Vini’s contract renewal with the La Liga giants seems to be coming to a close, after the player made his intentions clear to stay at Real Madrid.
Speaking ahead of the club’s Champions League clash against Bayern Munich on Tuesday, he said: “I hope I can stay here for a long time.
“I hope I can stay here for a long time. I still have a year left on my contract, and we’re all very calm because I have the president’s confidence. Everyone who speaks with me every day knows exactly what we want,” he said.
“When the time is right, we’ll work on the renewal so I can keep playing here, because this is the club of my dreams. Every day I come here, I’m happy, and I want to stay for many more years.”
The 25-year-old later admitted that he had a difficult time under previous head coach Xabi Alonso, with whom he openly clashed during El Clásico after he was substituted for Rodrygo. The situation with Alvaro Arbeloa, however, is much better, he says.

“It was a difficult time because I played in a lot of matches but had very few minutes. Every coach has their own methods and ideas. I think I wasn’t able to connect with what he wanted and what the team wanted, but it was a learning period.
“I learned a lot, and the players helped me a great deal during that time as well,” Vini Jr said of Alonso.
“I did a lot of reflecting and was able to improve as a person. I hope things continue like this with Arbeloa, with whom I have a wonderful connection.
“He always gives me confidence and tells me exactly what I need to do. I’m ready to put in great performances for the coach and for this club that has given me time.”
The Madrid forward will hope to deliver his best level against Bayern Munich in what promises to be a make-or-break match for Madrid in the Champions League, after falling seven points behind Barcelona in La Liga at the weekend, following a shock defeat to Real Mallorca on Saturday.
