Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has revealed marksman Bukayo Saka could make a return to the pitch in a few weeks after he suffered a hamstring injury last December.
The Gunners have struggled to be at their best level in the Premier League this season and now find themselves 15 points adrift leaders Liverpool with 10 matches to season’s end.
On Sunday, Arsenal were held to a 1-1 draw with Manchester United at Old Trafford, further increasing their chances of missing out on the title again this year.
Nonetheless, there seems to be hope arriving the coming days.
During Arteta’s post match interview, the Spaniard revealed Saka’s return to action is closer than expected, and it could unfold right after the March international break.
“After the international break, lets see how he is. He really feels good. He’s really willing. We are positive that he will be back within a few weeks.”
Prior to his injury, Saka proved to be crucial for the Gunners with 20 goal contributions in all competitions. His return could have them faring well particularly in the UEFA Champions League as all domestic titles are practically out of reach.
